The following progress photos were taken the week of November 24-28, 2008.
They show a step by step process of how I go from a photo to a finished portrait using a
variety of soft pastels on Canson Mi-Teintes paper.
Although there is NO substitute for painting from life, often times in the arena of
commissioned portraits of children, using a camera can be a necessity.
(Word has it that kids have a hard time sitting still!)
